Do you want to avoid time- and cost-intensive court cases paralysing your construction project in the long term? In many cases, conflict avoidance and, when needed, fast conflict resolution through adjudication can prevent unwanted construction delays.

In the case of adjudication, the proceedings are conducted either by an individual or a Tribunal of Adjudicators / Dispute Board Members. A so-called Standing Board that accompanies the project over its lifetime has the advantage of recognising imminent conflicts at an early stage and thus the potential to avoid them. If unavoidable, the parties will still receive a quick and binding (but not yet final) decision, which both parties are often contractually bound to adhere to and comply with.

In contrast, an ad hoc board is only used for specific disputes. The tool of dispute avoidance as a path to optimised project success is usually not available, or very limited at best.
